World Heritage Day 2016

Posted on: 08/04/2016

Date: 18/04/2016, 11:00am to 4:00pm

Location:
National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh

Come along to the National Museum in Chambers Street, Edinburgh on Monday 18 April, and join in the celebrations for World Heritage Day 2016. You can learn about the six World Heritage Sites across Scotland, ranging from St Kilda (celebrating its 30 year anniversary) to the newest member of the group, The Forth Bridge, inscribed in 2015. There will be oportunities to dress up, to try out a range of craft activities, and to have your photo taken on front of a 'green screen' that can magically transport you to each and every one of the World Heritage Sites. You can explore several of the Sites digitally, using the latest technology to explore virtual worlds, or just have a chat with staff who manage and look after the different properties.

Entry is free, all welcome.
