Stone window fragments, Carriden
A rectangular block of sandstone 421mm long by 242mm wide by 149mm in diameter, with a hole, 157mm long by 110mm wide taken out of the centre of one side. The edges at either side of this have been roughly chamfered but the remainder of the faces appear un-worked. There are small patches of white mortar adhering to the ends of the two arms.
It was found in the wall tumble in the caldarium of the bathhouse at Carriden fort and probably formed part of a bathhouse window.
