New opening hours at Kinneil Museum

Posted on: 08/04/2016

Kinneil Museum in Bo’ness has changed its opening hours.

The museum, beside historic Kinneil House, is now open every day, except Tuesdays, throughout the year, from 12.30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Please note there may be closures for local and some public holidays such as Christmas and New Year.

The move will mean visitors will get more weekend access, with the museum now open on Saturdays and Sundays.

The museum features displays on The Antonine Wall and the history of Bo’ness and Kinneil, including information on neighbouring Kinneil House and Kinneil's Roman Fortlet.

There is also an audio visual show and small retail area – as well as a toilet and baby changing facilities. The ground floor is fully accessible by wheelchair users.

The Museum is managed by Falkirk Community Trust on behalf of Falkirk Council.
