Midway between the forts at Cadder and Balmuildy is the site of a fortlet.
The site is visible in aerial photographs, but there are no traces visible on the ground today. The fortlet was constructed at the same time as the Wall, but was modified at a later date. Excavations have revealed that the fort featured timber buildings which were probably barracks, lean-to structures and hearths. Later, the interior was cobbled over.
The site of the fortlet lies just north of Balmuildy Road and west of the Cawder Golf Club, to the north-west of Bishopbriggs.
